● Rec Scene 02 · The director
Behind
the camera
Over 100 commercials, music videos, documentaries and short films across six continents. Dan writes, produces, directs and edits most of his own work.
Commercials
TVCs and branded films for Africa's biggest brands. His first, for Tusker, won the African Cristal Grand Prix.
Short films & docs
The work that won him three Cannes Lions Young Director Awards, plus mini-docs for Great Big Story.
The Bru Show
Dan's series for Discovery (2022). Ten episodes of trying things nobody else would: a truck turned into a camera, a hijacked cinema, a gang lord as tour guide.
Beast Philanthropy
2023 to 2025, as MrBeast's Chief Creative Officer. Dan and the JOE team planned and shot much of it, and edited and told the story of every film.
